Guest Wi-Fi, captive portal and PM-WANI compliance
OMNISPOT
OMNISPOT is a cloud platform for businesses offering Wi-Fi to their customers: a fully customisable captive portal, multiple login methods, regulation-compliant logging and retention, and native support for PM-WANI so a PDO or PDOA can run a compliant public Wi-Fi service.
Hotels, cafés, restaurants, co-working and co-living spaces, PGs, malls, hospitals, transport hubs, and PDOs and PDOAs operating public Wi-Fi under PM-WANI.
- PM-WANI
- ready for PDO and PDOA roles
- 8+
- guest login methods
- Branded
- portal, not a default splash
Free Wi-Fi is a promise most venues break at the login screen.
The guest connects, gets an unbranded portal, cannot work out how to log in, and gives up. The venue gets nothing: no data, no marketing consent, no idea who is on the network — and in most jurisdictions, no compliant record of it either.
The guest network is a customer touchpoint. Most of them look like a 2009 error page.
What it costs you today
- Generic splash pages that look nothing like the venue
- Login methods that fail for foreign guests without a local number
- No identity record when a regulator asks for one
- A captive audience with no way to reach them again
How OMNISPOT works
The decisions that shape the platform, and why they were made that way.
A portal that looks like your brand
Build the splash page from your own logo, imagery, colours and copy, in the languages your guests actually read. Different portals for different properties, or different portals for lobby and conference floor on the same property.
Login methods that match the venue
A hotel verifies against the room number and folio. A café sends a one-time password. A co-working space issues vouchers per membership tier. A conference uses a coupon code. You pick per site, and you can offer more than one.
Compliance built in, not bolted on
Identity is captured at login, sessions are logged with the detail regulators expect, and retention is enforced to the period your jurisdiction requires. When somebody asks who was on the network at a given time, there is an answer.

ExploreCommon questions
What is PM-WANI and do we need it?
PM-WANI is the Indian government framework for public Wi-Fi. It separates the venue operator that hosts access points (the PDO) from the aggregator that handles authorisation and accounting (the PDOA) and the app that users connect through. If you are offering public Wi-Fi commercially in India, operating under the framework is how you do it compliantly, and the platform supports both the PDO and PDOA roles.
What records does the platform keep?
Guest identity captured at login, session start and end times, data consumed, the access point used and address translation records, retained for the period your jurisdiction requires. Retention is configurable because the requirement differs by country.
Can guests log in without a local mobile number?
Yes, which matters for any venue with international visitors. Alongside mobile OTP the platform supports email verification, social login, vouchers, coupon codes and property management system lookup, and you can offer several at once.
Does it work with our existing access points?
It works with any access point that supports standard captive portal redirection and RADIUS. Deployed alongside OMNIFI you also get the wireless management — RF optimisation, firmware, remote troubleshooting — from the same platform.
